Pimax is swinging for the high end of VR. At its "Frontier: Change To Stay The Same" event on October 6, the high-end PC VR maker unveiled the Crystal Pro — a wireless PC VR headset built around a streaming trick called Native Foveated Streaming — alongside new Ringless VR Controllers and a compact gaming PC called Spation. The Crystal Pro costs $1,399 on its own, or $1,899 bundled with Pimax's third-generation 60G AirLink kit. Shipments are planned for spring 2027, with hands-on demos starting in the fourth quarter of 2026.

PlayStation players who covet an Xbox-style controller just got a new option — with Sony's blessing. Brook Gaming (Zeroplus Technology Co., Ltd.), the New Taipei outfit best known for its fighting-game converters, announced on October 6 that the Brook StarRay Wireless Controller is now available: a $74.99 gamepad that pairs native PS5 support with an asymmetrical stick layout familiar to Xbox players.

Nintendo of Europe is getting an early jump on the holidays. The company will release three hardware bundles on October 29, 2026, covering every member of the Switch family — and there is a Zelda anniversary edition landing the same day.
